Meet The Founder
Born in Australia and relocating to the UK (the home of her forebears), Alexandra Harper is an exciting and contemporary milliner who designs and produces statement hats, headpieces and hair accessories. Blending expert knowledge of classic millinery with innovative techniques, superior craftsmanship and a directional vision, Alexandra’s pieces exude pioneering style and individuality.
Growing up with a seamstress grandmother and a sewing-obsessed mother, Alexandra was always surrounded by fabric, threads and sewing machines. Herself a jewellery and accessories addict, it was probably inevitable that she would turn her back on a sensible career in the Law, and undertake formal millinery training in Australia.
Bitten by the millinery bug, Alexandra launched her eponymous label, Alexandra Harper Millinery, and propelled by the need to create and an energy to express, the brand took flight with original and luxurious pieces that have captured the attention of clients of all ages and backgrounds.
Rooted in expressive and interesting colours, fabrics and textures, Alexandra has established an ebullient brand with an intention to promote expression, a sense of self and enviable individuality.
